Jennifer Krouse says, “Sprinklz Ice Cream and Coffee Shop has moved into its Forever Home in Langley”

by Carolyn Tamler 7th December 2020

Jennifer Krouse owned five coffee shops in East King County over a period of 15 years before she made the decision to purchase a business in Langley. She first purchased Sassy Siren, and as much as she was enjoying that business, she still wanted to pursue her dream to have a food and beverage business. She paid attention to talk in the community that people wanted an old-fashioned ice cream shop, so she followed her desire and opened Sprinklz Ice Cream Parlor on May 1, 2016. She chose to sell Cascade Glacier Ice Cream following a long research process: “I tried 12 different kinds of ice cream before I settled on Cascade Glacier which is an extra premium brand.”

Jennifer also decided she needed to be more than just an ice cream store to create a successful business. She also provides full espresso service in addition to candy novelties (“We provide the only espresso service on 1st Avenue”). She provides sprinkles on request for all her ice cream items. One of her very popular special treats is vanilla ice cream cones just for dogs that include a small dog biscuit on top of the ice cream.

Jennifer learned that another location in Langley was becoming available because Marie Lincoln was moving her Chocolate Flower Farm business to her home. Jennifer purchased the building at the end of September. In November, Sprinklz opened at the new location in Langley, 224 – 1st Street.

Jennifer notes that “During the summer months, we are jammed, but even in winter people love ice cream.  And the espresso drinks are also a year round favorite.”

Sprinklz current hours in Langley are Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Sprinklz in Langley is closed on Tuesdays.

Jennifer also has an ice cream store and coffee shop at Ken’s Corner in Clinton. Sprinklz in Clinton is located at 11042 SR 525, Suite 108 (Ken’s Corner).  Current hours are Thursday through Saturday, 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Both Sprinklz locations also offer a 1/3-pound hot dog, chips and soda specialty.

Jennifer has also worked out an arrangement with Jen and Seb at Saltwater which will provide customers with a coupon good for 50 cents off any espresso drink at Sprinklz.

Curbside Pickup Available

Sprinklz is currently providing curbside service at both of its locations. Call ahead with your order: Langley – 360-221-6364; Clinton – 360-341-5257.  It can be picked up or brought out to
