Meet us on the covered porch of the Island County Museum. Every Wednesday at 2pm, all summer long, a different historical topic pertaining to the area of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve will be presented by a variety of hosts. The 1/2 hour interactive, casual program is FREE to all, courtesy of Friends of Ebey's, Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, Windermere Real Estate, Whidbey Island Bank, and the Island County Museum. On Wednesday July 5, Sarah Steen, our Board Member, and Preservation Coordinator for Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve will present “The Anglo American Landscape”. Last week, Sarah spoke to a very appreciative audience about “The Skagit Landscape”. The two programs will look at our area in the pre- and post-contact periods – A timely program, considering 2017 is the 225th anniversary of Vancouver’s expedition, and Master Whidbey’s visit to meet the Lower Skagit people of Pt’sad’tly, aka Coupeville!
