WICA Political Series
Langley, WA: Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) welcomes Robert Merry and David Horsey on January 14 at 7:30pm.
WICA’s sell-out political series is back! This time with the man who started it all, Whidbey’s own Robert Merry, in the hot seat. On January 14th, we turn the tables on Merry, our frequent stage interviewer of notable Washington players, and force him into the interviewee position to talk about his latest book, President McKinley: Architect of the American Century. Merry will also give his take on where the country is headed under Donald Trump, how Trump got elected, and the underlying forces of American politics in these turbulent times. Merry is a Northwest native who spent nearly 40 years in Washington as Wall Street Journal reporter, Congressional Quarterly publisher, and commentator before returning to the Puget Sound region in 2013. Merry will be interviewed by David Horsey, three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist for the Seattle P-I and L.A. Times.
Purchase your tickets soon, seats are almost sold out! All Seats $25. Zech Hall Piano Bar opens one hour prior to the event. Overflow seating in Zech Hall may be added, upon demand.
