1. We ate twice at Front Street Grill. Everyone really enjoyed their food and service, but I can best speak to the mussels since that's what I ordered both times. All of the mussels I tasted were excellent; however, the curry coconut mussels were incredible. They could be the best I've ever eaten.

The 5 stars are also justified because the view is gorgeous; the service is very good to excellent; the restroom was clean; and, the oysters were also very good. I'm making this place sound like they just serve seafood. In fact, the menu offers lots of choices. The Arbor

2. Try the mussels. Had the Green curry mussels. Super fresh and tasty. The seafood boublaise is a tad salty but scallop, clams, mussels were fantastic. Crab cakes are delicious as well with generous mouthful of crab meat. Worth a visit if you end up in the historical town of coupeville. William D.


3. Awesome beer selection. Over 15 different labels on draft. Menu selection is good. Food is good to. Parking can be a bit tight. Nice view of the marina-ask for a window seat. Scott F.

4. We tried getting in to Christopher's on Whidbey but alas we tried too late and were unable to dine there. We called the Front Street Grill and found that they had tables available so we walked the three blocks down there.

It becomes obvious when you walk in the door that there isn't a bad seat in the house. You have a beautiful view of Penn Cove no matter where you sit. The place is quaint, the kind of place you'd expect to find near the ocean. The seats are comfortable and it's clean.

I started with a half dozen oysters on the half shell. They were sweet and firm, just the way I like them accompanied by a mac and jacks beer. For my main course I had Dan's spicy seafood pasta which was a seafood pasta with the same green curry sauce used on the mussels. I paired that with a Flanders red beer YUM !!! They complimented each other nicely. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly, The sauce warmed the mouth but wasn't spicy hot by any stretch of the imagination. The beer was deep rich and funky in a way that only a Flanders red can be.

In all it was a very good experience. I will return if for nothing more than another one of those delicious beers !! Mike S.

6. Beautiful view and a very nice dinner. Although it is small and looks fancy, this place is kid friendly. They offered a children’s menu and seated us in a way that we would not disturb the other customers. Alaskacat713

7. Delightful, creative, reasonable, classy, sweet: are all rolled up into one in this gem of a restaurant. Mr. had the Green Curry Mussels and I chose the Rockerfeller Mussels. Both were served with thick slices of Artisan toasted bread and both were divine! We could not have been more pleased with our lunch. I can highly recommend this spot without reservation. Traveland

8. Just passing through town on a cold winter day and wandered in for lunch. Had a great meal. Wife had a huge bowl of mussels and bread to dip in and I had the Oyster BLT with a bowl of chowder. Also had oysters on the half for appetizer. Super good and also a dynamite "Ron's Bloody Mary." Thanks for the great meal! We'll be back!
