Community Thanksgiving Dinner Noon to 2 p.m. in the Rec Hall

Please join us once again for our
truly hometown Community Thanksgiving potluck.

Bring a dish to share if you can, and your own dishes and utensils.

We will provide turkey, ham and gravy and even offer to wash your

dishes for you. Join us for some yummy food and warmth ofcommunity.

If there are leftovers we send you home with them, or a plate for someone who cannot make it to the Rec Hall. If youwould like to donate a cooked turkey or ham to the event, please contact Lisa Bernhardt at lisa@pacificnorthwestartschool.org.

Volunteers are very much
appreciated for set-up in the late afternoon of Nov. 26 and clean up Nov. 27.

Get your holiday gifts and vintage finds such as clothing, antiques, art, junque, primitives, and retro goods!Blooms and Bites Charcuterie Box and Beverage (for Thursday night only) by advance purchase only. Purchase at Dina’s Great Finds in historic, downtown Oak Harbor.Those who purchase a charcuterie box will be entered to win one of many vintage prizes! 


Holiday Market

This year Pacific Rim Institute is hosting a Holiday Market on Friday, November 28th & Saturday, September 29th from 10 AM - 4 PM.

This will be a great opportunity to find small, local gifts for the upcoming holidays, enjoy lunch from a local food truck, and possibly even meet Santa.

Santa is expected to arrive by fire truck on Saturday between 11 AM - 2 PM.

Enjoy free activities, free hot cocoa, cider, and free cookies.

Freeland Holiday Parade of Lights & Tree Lighting – Coming December 7th! 

 

The most magical night of the year is almost here! Join us in downtown Freeland on Sunday, December 7th for an evening full of holiday cheer!

The Holiday Parade kicks off at 4:00 PM, starting at the Frontier parking lot, traveling down Main Street, ending at the Whidbey Tel parking lot @ 1651 Main Street in Freeland — where we’ll gather for the Tree Lighting and holiday festivities!

Enjoy a festive night filled with:

Visits & photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus + Elsa and Olaf

Caroling and live entertainment

Vendors, holiday activities, and treats for the whole family

Warm drinks and plenty of community spirit!

Parade Route: Frontier parking lot → Main Street → Whidbey Tel parking lot @ 1651 Main Street. Freeland, WA.

December 13, Crafts and Coco with PT Artscape, Cotton Building 1-4pm, kids arts and crafts led by PT Artscape.


December 31, First Night, an all-ages celebration presented by The Production Alliance.

This year’s theme, Extraterrestrial Extravaganza, invites earthlings of all ages to explore a universe of live music, circus arts, stargazing, interactive art, history-and-art exhibits, fireworks, and more.


Throughout the month of November and December enjoy the lights in the historic districts. From the tree lined trees in downtown, snowflakes in uptown, and a special lighting enhancement feature in Adams Street Park, downtown will be glowing for the season.

As the weather gets chilly and dark, it is the perfect time to enjoy a coastal beach fire with The Salish Sea School. With stories of the sea and conservation, a sip of forest tea, and the coziness of community along a wintery seaview, our monthly Community Campfires are the perfect way to embrace the darker months of the PNW, enjoy some time outside, and connect with community. What to Bring: -Warm, weather appropriate layers -Blankets and camping chairs (optional) RSVPS Appreciated, but not required Weather Cancellation Policy: This program will occur even in rainy weather. Please check our socials for any weather related cancellations. We will announce any canceled programming no later than the morning of the event
