Whidbey Island is located in Puget Sound, a rich marine habitat that attracts various species of whales throughout the year. Depending on the season, you can see gray whales, orcas, humpbacks, minkes and more.

 

There are several options for whale watching tours from Whidbey Island, such as Island Adventures Whale Watching, Deception Pass Tours, and Spirit of Orca Whale and Wildlife Tours. These tours offer knowledgeable guides, comfortable boats, and amazing views of the whales and other wildlife. If you have a chance to be in Langley, you can visit the Orca Network on Anthes Ave.

 

You can also watch whales from shore at some locations on Whidbey Island, such as Langley, Fort Casey, and Deception Pass State Park.
