Renee Boyce exhibits her artwork and jewelry at several galleries on Whidbey

by Carolyn Tamler 20th October 2025

Renee Boyce says: “Art came naturally to me.  It’s a way to process things, whatever is going on in my life.”

She originally lived in South Carolina, but she moved to Whidbey eight years ago to be with relatives who have lived on the island for several years.

Her artwork includes jewelry made out of natural stones from Whidbey Island and paintings on stone.  She adds, “I have been into art since I was a child.” She followed up her interest in art through middle and high school, taking art classes to better understand how art is done.

She started painting mandalas in 2017 and began selling her artwork on Etsy after a year of practicing painting dots on beach rocks. Sales went well and her mandalas have been purchased by people all over America.

She then branched out, showing her work in stores and galleries on Whidbey Island.  Currently her artwork is available at these three galleries:

  • Garry Oak Gallery in Oak Harbor;
  • Greenbank Farm Wine Shop;
  • Konesksi Gallery in Clinton.

She is planning to have her work displayed in more locations on Whidbey.
