Nancy Whittaker, who is a co-owner of Museo Gallery in Langley and a board member of The Langley Creative District, was approached by Jenn Jurrians, owner of Prima Bistro, and asked if she had any ideas for the November/December art show at the restaurant.
Nancy immediately responded that it would be a great idea to showcase all the galleries in Langley together. “There is a cooperative attitude among the galleries in Langley. We all believe that in sharing our art together, we all rise together. This a wonderful representation of one of the goals of The Langley Creative District.”

The five galleries participating in this joint venture are:
- Rob Schouten Gallery and Sculpture Garden, 101 Anthes
- Whidbey Art Gallery, 220 2nd Street (Langley Village)
- Artworks Gallery, 221 2nd Street (Langley Village)
- Museo, 215 1st Street
- David Price, 115 2nd Street #214

Each gallery is displaying one to three pieces of art. Nancy Whittaker notes, “This is a great opportunity to showcase what we each do.” She adds, “This exhibit is just in time for Christmas. The artwork will be on display at Prima Bistro until the end of the year.”
The gallery owners in Downtown Langley realize there is a large visitor and tourist business and that the businesses thrive through cooperation.

A visit to Prima Bistro not only provides an excellent meal in an inviting atmosphere, but now also invites customers to experience the range and quality of art galleries and artists in Langley.
This is a great example of how businesses can work together to help each other grow.
