Live music on Whidbey Island

Whidbey Island is beloved not only for its natural beauty, but also for its talented population of artists, and musicians are no exception. While summer is the best time to catch a show on stage, there are several restaurants and other venues that offer live music year round.

 

 

Live Music in Coupeville:


Ciao Italian pasta and pizza house offers local live music on various nights of the week.

Front Street Grill brings in locals for live music every Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Saratoga Orchestra holds it live classical concert series November through May at Nordic Hall.

Concerts on the Cove since 1982 this non-profit organization has presented a wide variety of performing artists at Coupeville’s Town Park Pavilion and other venues including the United Methodist Church, the Historic Crockett Barn and Camp Casey.

Prima Bistro offers live music every Thursday night.

Mo’s Pub & Eatery brings in everybody from local singer/songwriters to local rock bands at various times both on weeknights and on weekends.

Blooms Winery Taste for Wine offers live music at its Bayview Cash Store tasting room every Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m.

Ott & Murphy Winery Cabaret by the Sea features a variety of local acts on Fridays and Saturdays between 7 and 10 p.m

Saratoga Orchestra holds it live classical concert series November through May at South Whidbey High School Auditorium and at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts.

Useless Bay Coffee Company features live acoustic music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.

Mukilteo Coffee Company offers an occasional live blues concert in its roasting room throughout the year.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts has a long season of special concert events including its Classical Music Series, PianoFest Northwest and DjangoFest Northwest.

Summer Music Events on the Island:


Whidbey Island Winery Summer Concert Series in Langley is a live outdoor music series that features bands from both on and off-island in July and August.

Choochokam Arts in downtown Langley is the oldest live music and arts festival on Whidbey Island. It happens the second weekend in July all over downtown.

DjangoFest NW DjangoFest Northwest is the premier showcase of Gypsy Jazz in North America, having presented some of the biggest names in the genre to thousands of enthusiastic participants

Goosefoot features Summer Street Dances Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. through July and August in the parking lot at Bayview Corner.

Whidbey Island Music Festival presents vibrant performances on period instruments of repertoire ranging from Monteverdi to Beethoven in venues at St. Augustine’s-in-the-Woods in Freeland and at Greenbank Farm every August.

Oak Harbor Music Festival happens every August, taking over the historic Pioneer Way downtown area to offer a full roster of musical acts from on and off-island.
