Everyone has a story to tell. In this class, instructor Seth Riley will investigate the art of crafting a compelling memoir as well as give an introduction to the burgeoning field of creative non-fiction. Join us as we look into the nitty-gritty of how to craft and shape your prose. This class will explore the basics of style, compression, and narrative braiding and will give you the framework you need to construct your memoir or essay. In this class, you will be presented with a number of inspiring examples to help you begin to consider how you might pursue your own craft.
Instructor, Seth Riley received an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University in 2014. Since that time, he started a literary arts class program at the Schack Art Center in Everett, and continues to teach a variety of classes. He also teaches for the University of Washington’s Osher program at a variety of locations in the greater Seattle area.Please register. For teens & adults.
