Prima Bistro has a good variety of appetizers and small plates as well as regular entree size meals. We chose six different small plates instead of two entrees. We focused on items that we couldn't get at our restaurants on the Olympic Peninsula. Four items were particularly memorable. They were Crispy Pig Ears , Roasted Marrow Bone, Braised Octopus, and Sweetbreads in an Apricot Reduction. We also had a very good small Caesar Salad and"Duck Fried" Potato Fingerlings. Duck fried, meant they were fried in duck fat. The food was fresh, the service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed. We had a "pichet" of wine which was a 14oz serving, plus a couple chocolate truffles for dessert and our total bill before tip was $78. it was a great meal we will remember for a long time. The crispy pig ears were thinly sliced, fried, and then tossed in an Asian sweet chile sauce. When we received the roasted marrow bones, one of the two bones served did not have much marrow. They brought out two more bones as fast as they could roast them (at no extra charge). Langley has many art galleries and is set along Whidbey Island's Penn Cove, so we were there on a one day visit.

There were six people in our party and every dish we had was great from the bone marrow and sweetbreads that were the best I ever had to the flat iron steak and scallops. This is a place to return to again and again.

I enjoyed Lamb Ragu with fried polenta. My husband had the Bistro Burger- huge. Service staff was very outgoing. And views of the Sound.

Neither of us were very hungry, so we ordered from the small plate menu and had truly excellent lamb chops and delicious polenta, Service was good, prices OK, and because we made reservations they held a view table for us.

During our 4-day stay on Whidbey Island, we went back to Prima Bistro twice. They have such creative, flavorful food that were just so amazing!
The fingerling potatoes fried in duck fat was so worth the wait. We tried nicoise salad, beet & blue cheese salad, truffled prawns, grilled octopus, sautéd organic mushrooms, etc but there was not one dish that we did not like. We enjoyed every bite of what was served! My husband's favorite was the chorizo and clams. It was spicy but still flavorful and delicious. We'll probably drive from Seattle just to eat at Prima bistro!

Bring a friend split an order of the mussels and the clams. The mussels are cooked in light white wine sauce. The mussels come in a slightly spicy sauce with sausage. Two completely different flavors and both are yummy! Service is very friendly. Be forewarned, sometimes it may take a while to get your food. Not the place you want to go if you're in a hurry. Patio is absolutely lovely during the summer. I plan on returning to try other menu items. My visit had a little mix up with my order but the waiter was very nice about it. I'll give another star if they start serving Pepsi.

Taking the ferry to Whidbey and going to dinner at Prima Bistro makes for the perfect evening. There are great views of the water from the restaurant and the atmosphere is classy, yet casual. I dream about the pork belly dish here. I had never had pork belly before when I first tried it here, but now I always order pork belly when I see it on the menu and so far none of the other dishes have compared the the time I tried it at Prima Bistro. I've also tried the Confit of Duck Leg here and it was so tender and delicious. I'm fairly positive anything you order here will be amazing. Maybe I'll be brave enough to try the marrow next time!

This little bistro on the second floor of a building in the small downtown area was quite a find yesterday. We walked in at 5 PM without a reservation and the place was about one quarter full. When we left at 6:20 PM it was completely full. We experienced good food and service. My wife had a six ouce filet that came with spinach and frites and I had their calamari small plate. Her steak was over cooked to medium well instead of medium, but still quite good. The calamari was good, but I've had far better - a few pieces were pretty chewy. Calamari can be difficult to cook properly, but they did a pretty good job with it. The wine list was decent and my martini was okay. This place has been around for about five years and obvoiusly the word is out that they serve good food at a reasonable price. If you're in Langley and hungry this restaurant deserves a try, however you may need reservations after 6 PM on a Saturday.

I love the burgers at Prima Bistro. The have a simple beef burger made with natural beef from Painted Hills, watercress, red wine onions (actually looks like red onions at first glance - but it's white onion soaked in red wine), cheddar. They also have a lamb burger with aioli, pickled pepper-tomato relish, and arugula. The food here is really simple and really fresh. Great place for lunch/dinner if you're visiting Whidbey Island!

Best place to eat in Langley. Great food and the outdoor rooftop deck overlooking the sound makes this a very special place. The food was fresh, featured local ingredients and was all seasoned perfectly. And to round out the evening the wait staff was prompt, friendly and very knowledgable about the food. If they have lamb on the menu get it, we had some of the best seasoned and well cook lamb here. A visit to Langley isn't complete without a stop here.
