Off the coast of Northwest Washington, sits the small town of Langley on Whidbey Island. Here the forest meets the beach and people greet eachother as they pass by on the street.
Useless Bay Coffee Company is at the heart of the community. People old and new meet and enjoy our fresh roasted coffee and tasty food. Ideas and laughter fill the air along with the aromas coming from our La Marzocco and Paninni grills.
The core of our shop is our imported European 1950’s Probat UG15 drum roaster. Visitors can sit and sip while observing artisan roasting. Our small batch philosophy gives each batch a personal touch. Our Owner and Roaster, Des Rock, is always happy to speak with those who wish to learn more about the processes of roasting.
Our professional Baristas will prepare your drink with speed and skill. We pour delicious and artistic creations that are a joy to taste and see. Many people say our coffee is “the best coffee I’ve ever had.” Not to worry though, we ship our beans anywhere you desire. So wherever you are you can join the ranks of those who know.
We’re just a hop north from Seattle or a skip south from Vancouver, B.C. You can quickly breeze over with a ride on the Mukilteo Ferry or enjoy a scenic drive over Deception Pass bridge. See you soon.
