A Riveting Drama on Memory, Identity and the Past
OutCast Productions is proud to announce the upcoming opening of Breadcrumbs, a captivating play by Jennifer Haley and directed by Christopher Jewell. The show opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 9 and runs through Sunday, May 25 at the Black Box Theater in Langley.
Breadcrumbs tells the story of Alida, a reclusive and brilliant fiction writer diagnosed with dementia, who must rely on a troubled young caretaker to help complete her autobiography.
Like the children in the tale of Hansel and Gretel, Alida finds herself lost in the forest of forgetting, struggling to find her way home. The nurse’s aide Beth, a person with a traumatic past of her own, challenges Alida to remember; each memory a breadcrumb that moves us closer to the mystery of Alida’s childhood.
