Island Shakespeare Festival is hitting the road

by Patricia Duff 28th March 2025

 ISF IS HITTING THE ROAD!

Island Shakespeare Festival is pleased to announce its first Island-wide Pay What You Will community tour with SHAKESPEARE IN A BACKPACK

Join us for a fast-paced, joy-fueled, one-hour theatrical romp through scenes from our upcoming summer season (“Much Ado About Nothing” and “Anima”) plus a few delightful surprises from other classic favorites. With just two dynamic actors, zero set pieces, and a whole lot of heart, this pop-up performance celebrates the magic of live theatre and the joy of rediscovering stories we thought we already knew.

Whether you’re a lifelong Shakespeare fan or still recovering from high school English class, this vaudeville-inspired show promises laughter, heart, and a fresh perspective on timeless tales. Come for the comedy, stay for the sparks, and see just how much fun a couple of actors, a few props, and a whole lot of imagination can bring to your community.

Performance times and additional dates coming soon, mark your calendars today! Visit https://www.islandshakespearefest.org/.
