WEATHER BULLETIN
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Island County, in effect from 4:00 PM this evening (Tuesday) through 6:00 AM Wednesday.
Southwest winds of 25–35 mph are expected, with gusts of 50–55 mph. There is also increasing potential for gusts to reach up to 65 mph, with winds shifting from the southwest to the west overnight.
WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington.
WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 10 PM PST this evening. For
the High Wind Watch, from Tuesday evening through Wednesday
morning.
IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds could blow
around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few
power outages may result.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to saturated grounds from previous heavy
rain, expect more widespread impacts with these winds.
