Whidbey’s Saratoga Orchestra invites families and music lovers of all ages to a delightful afternoon of music, learning, and holiday spirit at “A Very Merry Whidbey Concert” on Saturday, December 13 at Coupeville High School.
Festivities begin at 1:00 p.m. with the orchestra’s popular and engaging Instrument Petting Zoo, where attendees can see, hear, and try out a variety of orchestral instruments. Musicians from the Saratoga Orchestra will be on hand to demonstrate instruments and offer a fun, hands-on experience for both the young and the young-at-heart.
At 2:30 p.m., the orchestra will present a live performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s timeless classic, “Peter and the Wolf.” The concert will be conducted by Music Director Anna Edwards and will feature special guest narrator Seth Tompkins from Classical KING (98.1 FM). Seasonal holiday favorites and a few surprises round out the afternoon.
