Whidbey Art Gallery’s artists are looking forward to a fresh, new member show for the February entitled ‘Red’. It’s an allusion to the month of hearts, love, Chinese New Year, and all things passionate. Stop by and see the new show and all the work of our talented artists at Langley’s First Saturday Art Walk on Feb. 4 from 5-7. Many of the artists will be there to welcome you and talk about their inspirations. 

Our featured artist for the month is photographer Holly Davison, a fourth generation islander who draws her inspiration from her deep connection to the natural beauty in the Pacific Northwest. Through her photography she strives to encapsulate the peaceful emotional connection into a single image. She hopes the piece will stir others to bond with those same wild places. Holly’s desires for her photography are two-fold: to bring the viewer a sense of serenity and to compel them to protect the splendor of this world.
