Preview the 2025 Whidbey Island Musical Festival (WIMF) summer performances at this FREE event at the Freeland Library! WIMF director and violinist, Tekla Cunningham, will share a taste of the musical riches to come this summer. Bring your curiosity and feed your spirit with the sublime sounds of the baroque!
Baroque violinist Tekla Cunningham delights in bringing music of the baroque, classical and romantic eras to life with vivid and expressive historically informed performances. She is founder and director of the WIMF (founded 2006) which presents vibrant period-instrument performances, including baroque and classical chamber music. In 2024, she founded the Seattle Bach Festival which serves the Seattle area with great performances of the masterworks of JS Bach and pearls of the Baroque. She is also an artist-in-residence at the University of Washington.
Please register in advance. Please arrive early and allow time for parking. Registered participants will be given a place holder ticket when they arrive for the program. At 5 minutes to show time all remaining seats will become general admission on a first come basis.
