In conjunction with the opening of an exciting new exhibit of ALFREDO ARREGUÍN’S newly released paintings from the artist’s estate, his longtime friend, celebrated poet Tess Gallagher will be joined by poets Gary Copeland Lilley, Joni Takanikos and Victory Lee Schouten, to read poetry among the flowers and sculptures in the gallery’s garden.
Tess Gallagher’s most recent book is IS, IS NOT. A comprehensive essay entitled “Tess Gallagher—Poet of Eternity” appears in American Poetry Review (APR) of May/June. She lives and writes in Sky House, Pt. Angeles, Wa. and in Abbey Cottage in Ballindoon, County Sligo, Ireland. Her book of stories with Josie Gary, her late companion, is available from July 30 from Cirque Press.
Gary Copeland Lilley is the Artistic Director of Centrum Writing Conference in Pt. Townsend, Wa. His new book, RAVEN ON THE MOANERS’ BENCH will be available from FOUR WAY BOOKS from September 15, 2025. He lives in Pt. Angeles, Wa.
Poet Joni Takanikos lives on Whidbey Island and is grateful to experience her continual unfolding in such a rich community. A community that inspires her to keep dreaming a better dream.
Longtime Whidbey resident, Victory Lee Schouten says, “Poetry was an awakening and a lifeline for me as a teenager, and I have gratefully held to its North Star ever since.” Her most recent book is ROOT STOCK.
We look forward to seeing you!
