About this Event

Join presenter Jake Cochrane for this hands-on workshop and learn the basics of using tools and how to turn repurposed, recycled, and low-cost materials into useful builds. You'll learn what basic tools you should have on hand and how to use them, where to find affordable materials for repairs and projects, and walk away feeling empowered to fix, tinker, and construct away!

Jake is a Seattle-born artist, musician, and builder currently living in Port Angeles, Washington. He’s passionate about building radically affordable structures using free or reused material, tapping local waste streams, and getting his hands dirty in the process. Jake hopes to inspire the joy of taking something broken or cast aside and returning to a state of usefulness. You can find his work online via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube by searching Jacob Cochrane or his username freshly_jaked

The "How Do I..." program series is an engaging and hands-on introduction to the basic life skills that will carry you through adulthood and beyond! Check the Oak Harbor Library calendar for more "How Do I..." programs coming up.
