About the presenter: Lyn Peters is the Director of Communications and Financial Education & Outreach with Washington State Department of Financial Institutions. Lyn has been with DFI since June 2007. She's spent the last almost 18 years helping Washington residents discover what "financial freedom" means to them - and how to attain it. Whether the topic of the day is the basics of budgeting, understanding credit and how to use it wisely, avoiding identity theft or the basics of investing and planning for retirement - Lyn is passionate about sharing the information consumers need to make safe and sound financial decisions.
