About this Event

Do you know what your disposition options are in Washington State and what they cost? Have you ever wondered about green burial options?

Join us for a look behind the funeral industry curtain to learn how to navigate this difficult process and save yourself time and money. We will explain cremation, burial (conventional and green/natural), alkaline hydrolysis (aquamation/water cremation), natural organic reduction (terramation/human composting), and full body donation.

Rachel LeBlanc from People's Memorial Association (PMA) explains options for body disposition in Washington State, the decisions that need to be made when planning a funeral, and the paperwork needed to protect your wishes.

Founded 85 years ago in Seattle, PMA provides essential funeral education and advocacy services to all Washingtonians. They envision a future where everyone has access to after-death arrangements that reflect their personal values and resources. This event is part of the End of Life program series, learn more at the End of Life Resource Fair, March 12, 2026 at Coupeville Library.
